Welcome to the Maryville Retreat Center!

Overlooking beautiful Lake Elliot, the Maryville Retreat Center in Holly, Michigan, provides a uniquely peaceful, pastoral setting within its 240 acres for retreats, conferences, and workshops.
Holly, Michigan is located in Oakland County, Michigan, approximately one hour from Detroit, Michigan.

The Center offers a large conference room, a variety of small meeting rooms, a large dining room with an expansive view of the lake, Wi-Fi throughout the facility, and single and double occupancy rooms, all with private baths. A screened gazebo near the lake, and a spacious chapel framed by panoramic views of pines and towering oaks also grace the Center.

The Maryville Center, directed and sponsored by the Felician Sisters of North America, is enjoyed by a variety of organizations and groups who hold annual conferences, company workshops, and private and group retreats.

Forgiveness: Freeing the Heart

Jesus modeled forgiveness for us and asks us to do likewise. Join Sr. Judith Marie Blizzard, CSSF, as she explores the importance of forgiveness – forgiving others as well as ourselves – and how the act of forgiveness impacts both our physical and spiritual selves. About Sr. Judith Marie Blizzard, CSSF
Sr. Judith Marie Blizzard, CSSF, received her Bachelors of Art in Education and Religious Studies at Felician University in Lodi, NJ, and her Masters in Spirituality at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Her past ministries have been in the areas of education, leadership, vocation ministry, formation, retreat ministry, and spiritual direction. She is currently a spiritual director in the Pittsburgh area and is involved in evangelization, retreat ministry, and giving parish missions. She also is mission leader for the Mooncrest Neighborhood Programs in Moon Township, PA.

After Jesus’ death, his disciples lived in hiding, full of fear and confusion. Join Sr. Leanne Hartmann, CSSF, for a reflection on the story of the two disciples who encounter the Risen Lord on a journey to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-36). Just as Jesus lifted them out of the darkness of uncertainty, so to can he give us hope, setting our hearts aflame with the Holy Spirit. Practicing Mindfulness, Living Mindfully

Join Sr. Leanne Hartmann as she teaches participants about the practice and benefits ofmindfulness meditation as prayer. We will use breathing and quiet reflection to achieve a consciousness and awareness of the present moment, providing an opportunity for the Spirit to work within us. About Sr. Leanne Hartmann, CSSF
Sr. Leanne Hartmann, CSSF, attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and Notre Dame University in Notre Dame, Indiana. She also holds a certificate in spiritual direction from the Siena Retreat Center run by the Dominican Sisters in Racine, Wisconsin.  In addition to her work in retreat ministry and spiritual direction, Sr. Leanne currently provides pastoral care for the Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Chicago.
