Join us for a special Lenten evening mass, a simple meal, and a reflection by the Monsignor on Isaiah's verse 58:6-11 where he will delve into the story of fasting and how it impacts our desire to serve others in need.

Rev. Monsignor Dr. Charles Kosanke was born and raised in northeast Detroit. He earned a license and doctorate in Biblical Studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He served for ten years on the faculty and administration of Sacred Heart Major Seminary as Assistant Professor of Sacred Scripture, Director of Undergraduate Seminarians, Moderator of the Latin American Program, and Dean of Administration and Advancement. He also served as Rector of SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary (The National Polish Seminary). He served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Association of Theological Schools where he chaired accreditation visits to Catholic seminaries around the U.S. Currently, the Monsignor is pastor of Most Holy Trinity, Corktown, and rector of the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese and in 2021 as Vicar and Moderator of Southwest Detroit overseeing seven parishes and nine campuses. He serves as Chairman of the Presbyteral Council for the Archdiocese of Detroit.
